Three men like samurai

Saturday, with two friends, we went to the pharmacy and bought three kites and like samurai we biked with them wrapped up and shoved down the backs of our shirts. Swords they were as we fiercely attacked the day. We found an empty baseball field, next to teams of fully uniformed Africans playing cricket. The sky was blue and warm, the breeze was cool and strong. Our kites flew and crashed together and we ran around to untangle them while they hung in the air. It was the best sort of challenge.
