little house on the prairie, the musical

Last night I went to see "Little House on the Prairie, the Musical," starring Melissa Gilbert (the original Laura herself) as "Ma Ingalls". Now, that alone could be enough of a daily awesome to cover an entire month. However, just to sweeten the evening, as three friends and I were enjoying dinner before the show an older woman came over to our table. She paused, just briefly enough to say, "I just want to let you ladies know you look wonderful, every one of you." What a lovely compliment, and a wonderful, unexpected interaction, it certainly made our evening!
As Mark Twain famously said, "I can live for two months on a good compliment." Our encounter was a great reminder of how much of an impact a compliment can make, and how simple they are to give.
